Faith Hope Love Repeat

I heard this song a few years ago and I loved it. Now that I have brought a beautiful baby girl into this crazy world, this song hits differently.

The first time I heard Faith Hope Love Repeat by Brandon Heath it was at a live concert. Brandon shared how he felt knowing that he would be bringing a baby girl into the world. He wrote this song to let his daughter now that she is going to be loved by her earthly father, as well as her heavenly father.

I wanna build four walls, keep you safe inside

And catch you when you fall, don’t wanna see you cry

And when you walk down the street, make you hold my hand

I wanna lift you off your feet, be your Superman, Superman

These lyrics hit home to me as I was becoming a new parent. I want to make sure I do everything I can to keep my daughter safe. I want to be that superhero that is there to make everything alright.

Yeah, I brought you into this world And I’m sorry it’s a little bit crazy But I tell you there is so much good Though the future looks a little bit hazy But see God me and him have a promise And he’ll give us everything that we need So have faith, hope and love

Let’s be honest, bringing a kid into the word in 2021 was difficult., I mean we were in the middle of pandemic. It was, and still is a crazy world with a future that is a little bit hazy. However, I know that God is on my side and will give us everything that we need, even if it does not seem like in that moment. All we have to do is have Faith, Hope and love.

But there will be days when you lose your faith And there will be nights when you give up hope Disappointment and pain, and you’ll flirt with the shame So you call me from the end of your rope And I’ll give you whatever I have But there’s only one thing you’ll need And that’s love, I’ll give you my love

I know there will be times that she struggles, looses her faith and is at the end of her rope. I just want her to know that I am there for her, no matter what. But I also want her to know that her heavenly father is also there for her.

That main thing this song reminds me, is to teach my daughter that having Fatih and hope and love in her heavenly father will give her a lot of security through life. It doesn’t mean it will be perfect but she will have that hope in her life.

Trust steadily in God, Hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love. 1 Corinthians 13
