A couple of weekends ago we celebrated at my parent's cabin in southern Iowa. This years theme, BLUEBERRIES!
Aurora woke up to the living room decorated and lots of presents. Both sets of grandparents and both uncles were there to help celebra
te. It took her a while to warm up to all the people, but once she started opening presents, we couldn’t get her to stop.
Once all the presents were open, we were able to get her away to have some German pancake with blueberries for breakfast. After that, back to playing with all her new toys. She even helped put her toddler tower together.
For lunch, we had ham balls, Brussel sprouts, fruit salad (with blueberries) and blueberry cobbler. Aurora has always been a good eater and she did not disappoint for this meal. Of course, what did she eat first, the blueberries.
After a little rain, we were able to spend the rest of the afternoon/evening down by the water playing in the sand, playing catch, and watching uncle Cole try the paddle board.
The day ended with a beautiful sunset sitting around the fire and eating blueberry brats and a whole container of blueberries.
It was a great day celebrating this amazing little girl. She is becoming more like mom everyday - very independent! She knows exactly want she wants and putting words with actions when asking for it. Some of her favorite things right now are blueberries, babies, dogs, saying Yellow, water, and just being a happy little girl.
